Who are you?
Well, I am me. An insignificant speck in this strange, strange world we call home.

No, um really... who are you?
So you want some specifics. Pushy aren't you?
I am a heterosexual, female college student who could stand to loose a few pounds currently living somewhere in the western United States.
That's about all I'm willing to give up I'm afraid. After all, this is a secret blog. With the above and whatever you can glean from my
entries (a lot of pertinent information tends to pop up in the blog if you're smart enough to catch it) please feel free to construct whatever "me" is to your liking.

Do I know you?
Well gee, I hope not. That really defeats the whole purpose of a secret blog. You may though. I'm sure that, one day, someone I know will stumble on this blog and figure out who I am (it's really very easy if you know me at all) and topple my whole house of cards.
I will then be left alone and friendless.
Guesses as to my identity are always welcome of course. To help you out, I am not Jill Lauder from the University of Colorado, Boulder. I would however really like to talk to Jill. At least four people have guessed her so far. I'd like to meet someone who's life is that similar to mine.

Wait, who's Andy?
Andy is my ex-boyfriend. Why the book of Andy you ask? Go here and scroll down to the second entry from the bottom. All will be explained.

Why do you call some people by name and others only by initial?
You know, I'm not sure exactly. I could say names have been changed to protect the innocent but that's not quite true.I think it's because I felt I would be too obvious and easy to track down if I used the real names of everyone in my little world. A good rule of thumb on who gets a full name and who doesn't is that usually the Men In My Life (such as they are) get a full name while everyone else gets an intital. Why, I don't know. Is the answer Freudian? Probably.

Are you really that paranoid? Why?
Yes, yes I am. The reason is that the things I write in this blog are extremely private. They're not embarassing to me per se (although sometimes they are) but mostly they're things that I don't want anyone in my life to know about. This blog ranges from annoyed self analysis to a spirited rip on my nearest and dearest. This is not something want read by anyone I know. Total stranger, yes. People I know, no.

Do you know how pathetic you are?
Why yes, yes I do actually. That's why this blog is secret from those whose judgement could actually have a significant impact on my life.
You know what's even more pathetic than me? Writing to someone you don't even know to tell them how pathetic they are. ;)

Um, Have you ever tried counseling? My brother/friend/husband/sister-in-law is a counselor and he says...
No, I've actually never had professional counseling. What I say in my blog reflects my true feelings, albeit often slightly altered by my flair for the dramatic. I consider this blog my form of therapy. I promise you though, if I ever have a real problem I'll seek help.
Thanks for your concern!

So how many people actually read this thing?
A surprising amount actually. When I started this blog I never really expected it to gain a readership. The format of the posts reflects the fact that I find it easier to write as though I'm talking to someone rather than any expectation of readership. I put the Email Me button up as a lark and no one was as surprised as me when I actually did get emails.
I don't know exactly how many visitors this blog gets (I don't have a counter... too hard for my limited web skills) but I do get a steady trickle of emails, usually at least one a week.

So, how do I get my own double secret blog?
Good question. There are a lot of sites online that will set up a blog (Web log) or online journal for you. Pitas.com and Live Journal are two of the better known web journal sites. For ease of navigation and management I prefer Blogger; the site that is hosting the wonderful blog you came here from.
